The short version

Where they started, what we did, where they are now

1Before

Up against the giants

Big travel sites and airline alliances held the top spots for every “business class round the world” search.

2What we did

Made every key page count

A full review of the site, richer content, better page titles, technical fixes and quality links.

3Now

Top 3 across the board

Every main search now ranks in Google’s top 3. Visits almost doubled, and qualified leads grew more than 4×.

The full story

US Business-Class Travel Agency, in plain words

The travel agency sells business class round-the-world tickets. One ticket covers a whole trip with up to 25 stops, and it is usually cheaper than buying many separate flights. The team there has researched the costs and the hassle of complex trips, and offers tailored plans.

The trouble was the competition. Well-known travel sites and even airline alliances already held the top spots on Google.com. None of the site’s main searches were in the top 10, so most travellers never saw it.

We checked the whole site, made its business class pages richer, fixed page titles and technical problems, and got trusted sites to mention it. Every main search now sits in the top 3, visits from Google almost doubled, and qualified leads grew more than 4 times.

The problem

What they were up against

1

Strong competitors already at the top

Established travel sites and airline alliances had loyal audiences and the best positions.

2

A clear goal: the top spots

They wanted to rank at the top on Google for business class and round-the-world ticket searches.

3

Be seen for the busiest searches

They needed more visibility for the most searched phrases on Google.com.

4

Leads, not just visitors

The aim was more qualified sales leads, which means people really interested in buying.

What it brought

Off page one to the top 3

The main searches were not in the top 10 at the start. They now rank in the top 3.

Visits almost doubled

Visits from Google grew by almost 100%, so twice as many possible customers arrived.

More than 4× the leads

The visitors were better as well as more, so qualified leads grew more than 4 times.

Positions 2 and 3

All 15 tracked searches now sit at position 2 or 3 on Google.com, from outside the top 10.

How we did it

Four steps that made the difference

Reviewed the whole website

Every important business class page checked for what was holding it back.Like a full inspection before renovating a house.

Made the content richer

Pages expanded to cover what travellers really want to know about each route and ticket.Answer the question before the traveller has to ask.

Fixed titles and technical issues

New page titles and tags, and technical fixes across the site.Like putting clear signs on every aisle of a shop.

Got quality sites to link to it

Outreach that built the site’s reputation, beyond what we first projected.Online word of mouth. The more trusted sites mention you, the more Google and AI trust you.

Everything we did

  • Checked the whole website, page by page
  • Made sure every important business class page could rank
  • Studied what the pages were really about and what travellers look for
  • Added useful detail to pages that said too little
  • Wrote clear page titles and descriptions for Google
  • Fixed technical problems behind the scenes
  • Got trusted sites to mention the website, which built its reputation
Why it worked

What other business owners can take from this

Specialists can beat the giants

A focused site that answers one need well can compete with much bigger names.

Look at every important page

Rankings came from improving each key page, not just the home page.

Count leads, not only visits

Twice the visits brought more than four times the leads, because the right people were arriving.

What this means for your business

A specialist can beat the giants on Google, when every page clearly answers what the buyer wants.

This is the same work we do for businesses in Australia, the UK, the US, the Middle East and Asia, for small companies as well as big names.

  • Rank above much bigger competitors
  • More visitors who are ready to buy
  • More qualified leads, not just more traffic
  • A clear report every month on what we did and what it brought
