SEO Audit Service

In SEO, knowing what needs improvement is half the battle.

This is why we offer SEO audits as a one-time, standalone service to diagnose the ills of your website. Identifying problematic areas allows us to recommend the best optimization strategy going forward.

What Happens During an SEO Audit?

SEOValley™ comprehensively combs through your website to search for issues—major or minor—that may be dampening your rankings. We focus on three core segments: on-page elements, technical SEO, and links. Our audits look at (but are not limited to) the following:

  • On page SEO factors
  • URL structures of all site domains and subdomains
  • Potential redirect issues
  • Potential code issues
  • Potential technical issues
  • External linking strategy
  • Internal linking strategy
  • Site content quality and strategy
  • Potential crawl issues
  • Current analytics data
  • Potential duplicate content issues
  • Sitemaps
  • Current search engine indexing
  • Mobile optimization
  • Site architecture
  • Social media presence
  • Potential link preservation issues
  • Site technologies
  • Site speed
  • Social signal impact
  • Google Search Console data and errors
    …and more as needed.

This list includes audit basics, but if your website has hidden issues beyond those mentioned, these basics will help us find them.

Our Audit Process

SEOValley™ performs SEO audits on websites of all sizes. From a handful of pages to hundreds of thousands of URLs, we can handle them all.

We’ll start with a short consultation to better understand your business, target audience, and online marketing goals. From there, our experts will dive deep into reviewing your website. We will then provide in-depth insights and actionable solutions that you can use in planning your SEO strategy going forward. You’ll receive a comprehensive SEO audit report that not only enumerates issues but also shows you where opportunities for rankings, lead generation, and traffic improvements lie.

Our SEO audit reports aren’t just spreadsheets that get filed away and forgotten; they become roadmaps for strategic optimization plans. We will never hand you a boilerplate file. Our process goes beyond just running your site through generic auditing software and then sending you whatever findings it spits out.

Instead, each SEO audit is done by actual people. You will receive dedicated consultation throughout the process—and we can even help you through audit implementation.

And yes—you can still benefit from a thorough SEO audit even if you’ve already done one in the past. Weighted factors and algorithms and shift over time, so it makes sense to periodically conduct an audit of your website to identify unexpected problems.

SEO audit: frequently asked questions

Is the SEO audit really free?

Yes. We run a manual audit of your site and share the findings with no obligation and no payment required.

What does the audit cover?

Technical issues such as crawling, indexation and speed, on-page factors including titles, headings and content, plus backlink health and a look at the competitive landscape.

How long does the audit take?

A manual audit usually takes a few working days, depending on the size of the site and how many pages need checking.

Do I have to buy a plan afterwards?

No. The audit report is yours to act on, whether you work with us, work with another agency, or implement the fixes in-house.

What does the technical evaluation actually check?

Crawl errors, site architecture, programming code, web page design issues, dead pages and broken links, duplicate content, W3C validation of the home page, and download speed.

Do you audit our backlinks as well as the site?

Yes. Every plan includes a detailed links audit and disavow, plus a historical data review and penalty audit, so you find out whether past link building is still holding the site back.

Do you look at competitors during the audit?

Yes. We map the results pages for your target terms and compare competitors on domain authority, content and link volume, so the plan reflects what it would actually take to outrank them.

Will you fix what the audit finds, or only report it?

Either. Implementation is included once you give us full site access. Entry-level plans cover the basic SEO fixes; the higher plans cover every SEO issue the audit finds. Dynamic URL rewriting and mobile-friendly rebuilds are quoted separately.

Is the audit automated or done by a person?

By a person. It is a manual audit, which is why it takes a few working days rather than a few seconds.

How quickly does work start once we go ahead?

Keyword analysis is completed within three to five days of the campaign starting. Benchmark ranking and traffic reports follow within two days of you approving the keywords, and on-page and technical work begins within seven days.

What do you need from us to implement the fixes?

Your CMS, hosting control panel and FTP login details. Those are only needed once you decide to go ahead, not for the audit itself.

Which tools do you work in?

Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools are set up and monitored on every campaign, with live keyword rank tracking through Agency Analytics and campaign scheduling in Basecamp.
